Scott Hayden
Edtech Demonstrator for DfE
Steph has high levels of kindness, empathy, and patience and a real and genuine user-focused approach to supporting and coaching Teachers. This is so important as without this emotional intelligence, the technical skill and knowledge (which Steph also has impressive levels of) will not connect or communicate to the staff in quite the same way. Steph’s mix of interpersonal and technology skill is crucial to what makes her so effective and a real rising star in EdTech.
I had the pleasure of managing Steph when she was a Learning Technologist at Plumpton College before she progressed to Learning Technology Manager. Steph is passionate about the use of technology to improve educational opportunity. She is an expert trainer and leader who is able to empower and influence colleagues at all levels. As well as having broad technical expertise, she is particularly skilled in project and people management.

Plumpton College
I first worked with Stephanie when she took up her lead role as Learning Technology Manager at Plumpton College, which also coincided with the Covid-19 pandemic. Stephanie has worked tirelessly firstly with volunteers and now with a larger team to put the college in the forefront of teaching remotely and blended learning, which is no small feat in an agricultural college. This is testament to her hard work and dedication to improve the quality of the college’s online platforms, in which she has done so. Thanks Stephanie it is a pleasure working with a passionate, supportive and dedicated staff member.
